Session 1 : Importance of Story Telling & Innovation for Climate Action

In collaboration with the Ministry of Water & Environment, Uganda & Climate Entertainment orchestrated a compelling event at the Uganda Pavilion within COP28's Blue Zone. 

The highlight of the evening was the much-anticipated Trailer Launch of Climate Entertainment's groundbreaking climate movie, "The Lost Mayan Flower," filmed in Mexico. 

This event coincided with an enlightening session on "Importance of Storytelling & Innovation for Climate Action."

On the Ground Sai : Renowned Influencer for ground-level storytelling.

Gokul Rajendran : Founder of Climate Entertainment, pioneering the fusion of entertainment and environmental advocacy.

Alyona (Alena) Maslova : Scriptwriter for climate narratives, contributing to the power of storytelling in driving climate action.

Parneet Kaur : Founder of Poetry for Planet and Y20 India, leveraging poetry as a medium for environmental consciousness.

Scarlett Karoleva: Lead actress in "The Lost Mayan Flower" and a dedicated climate documentary maker, bringing stories of climate impact to life.

Arthur Musinguzi : Ugandan storyteller and change-maker, enriching the discourse on climate through local narratives and community engagement.

In partnership with Climate Live Global, Climate Entertainment curated an immersive event at the Climate Live Pavilion during COP28, centered on the theme of "Innovation on Conference with the Art of Movie Making: Team The Lost Mayan Flower." This event served as a dynamic platform to showcase the transformative power of innovation in blending the realms of conference engagement and cinematic storytelling.

Speakers:

Gokul Rajendran : Founder of Climate Entertainment, pioneering innovative approaches to environmental advocacy through storytelling and media.

Scarlett Karoleva  : Notable figure in Circle of Sustainability Europe and the lead heroine of "The Lost Mayan Flower," embodying the intersection of art, sustainability, and activism.


Throughout the day, attendees had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of "The Lost Mayan Flower" through the showcasing of the movie trailer at the Pavilion. Additionally, a session on the importance of innovation provided insights into the diverse ways in which creativity and technology can be leveraged to amplify the climate message and drive meaningful action.

Feeling immensely honored to be present at COP28, with heartfelt gratitude to Ukraine for their unwavering support in championing our efforts to spotlight "Local, Traditional & Indigenous Medicine Knowledge." Amidst a gathering where representation was scarce, I stand tall as one of the few delegates hailing from Kerala, proudly representing our rich Ayurvedic heritage as a dedicated medical student.
